It seems as though the Philadelphia 76ers are making significant changes to their roster after maintaining the worst record in the NBA last season. The 76ers recently signed second-round draft pick from North Carolina, J.P. Tokoto and are currently finalizing a deal with Kendall Marshall. Keep reading to find out more about these depth chart rumors below.

According to Slam Online, guard Kendall Marshall, formerly a free-agent, has agreed to a multiyear contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. This deal includes a fully guaranteed salary for the upcoming NBA season.

This seems to be a major investment for the 76ers, and a risky one too, considering Marshall has been recovering from his torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in Chapel Hill, N.C., over the past few months. Legal sources say Marshall is expected to return sometime during the first half of the 2015-2016 season.

Marshall tore his ACL on Jan. 15 while playing with the Mikwaukee Bucks, and his surgery took place early in Februrary. Seeing how previous players, i.e. Derrick Rose and Rajon Rondo have recently undergone similar surgeries dealing with torn ACLs, Marshall's speedy return could potentially cause further harm to his ACL along with the 76ers record.

Marshall was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the 13th overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, and has been traded and waived twice in the league. His one full season in the NBA was with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2013-14, where he averaged 30 minutes per game and was second in the NBA to the Clippers' Chris Paul in assists per game (8.8) and fifth overall in assist-to-turnover ratio.

The 76ers also made the decision to sign second-round draft pick from UNC, North Carolina, J.P. Toroto. Yahoo Sports reports that the former North Carolina forward has agreed to a non-guaranteed $525,000 tender offer. This will allow Tokoto possibly become a restricted free-agent in 2016.

Signing J.P. Tokoto may not be such a bad idea for the 76ers, but signing Kendall Marshall to a multiyear deal is a pretty big risk for the 76ers.
