Larry Wilmore is back from a long vacation, folks. And while a lot has happened since he's been away, The Nightly Show host decided to focus on one thing at the top of Tuesday night's show: Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk who refused to hand out marriage licenses to gay couples. And while the world appears to be praising her for "speaking her mind," it seems Wilmore is calling some serious bullsh*t.

"If speaking her mind hurts other people, that's not brave, that's bullsh*t," Wilmore said, adding that the point of a government job, in this case at the county clerk's office, is to "not give a damn."

Wilmore then cited that instead of leaving jail in a manner Jesus Christ would actually respect, Davis was welcomed to a stage by Governor Mike Huckabee to uproarious applause—backed by "Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor for some reason. Yep, really.

And it was really, really, really weird.

Of course, what the Nightly Show host found to be even weirder was the fact that he saw a "group of people in the South with white crosses, cheering to not allow people their constitutional rights..." – largely because it gave him a "tingly lynch-y feeling."

So, Kim Davis was officially released from prison and brought out to a crowd full of... somethings. Thoughts?

Oh boy, the real scary thing is that we wouldn't put it beyond U.S. politics for something like this to actually happen.
