According to the BPL coach of the month, Manuel Pellegrini, City's star player David Silva will sit out this important match with an injury.

"Silva is out as I think it would be a risk for him to take another knock on his ankle," he said, according to PremierLeague.com. "I hope he will be OK for Juventus [in the UEFA Champions League]."

City is looking at a long list of injured players, but new signing Kevin De Bruyne could make his debut for the team against the powerful Palace.

Meanwhile, manager Alan Pardew of Crystal Palace commented on City's transfer window actions.

"Only time can prove value for money. I think they've purchased good players. [Raheem] Sterling gives them something different," he said. "Only a handfull of clubs can spend like that. But we're in the next batch of clubs behind them. You can only play 11. If you could field 20 players, City would win, but our starting 11 is very strong."
