The transfer window for the Premier League is closing as we speak, but we're still hearing plenty of talk around Juventus' Paul Pogba signing with Chelsea, but under new circumstances. Plus, after Everton refused to give Chelsea John Stones, Jose Mourinho's team has singed Senegal defender Papy Djilobodji instead. Djilobodji is in the final year of his contract with Nantes, but has reportedly shown interest in leaving the club for a bigger stage. Clearly, the Premier League is the place to be. Chelsea showed interest in the defender over the weekend, which led to talks. Apparently, Chelsea is bidding just above $4 million for the player, which is much less than the Stones bid.

Maybe the biggest name in the transfer speculation these days is Paul Pogba, who has allegedly been put back on the table for Chelsea. Juventus reopened talks for a transfer to Stamford Bridge, if they can work out signing Brazilian Hernanes from rivals Inter Milan (via Express Sports). We'll find out early this week if Pogba signs to Chelsea.

Meanwhile, another player allegedly linked to the defending premiere league champions is 26-year-old Guangzhou Evergrande defender Zhang Linpeng. Unfortunately, this deal might not come together according to new reports. Apparently, Chelsea would need to promise the athlete receives regular playing time on the pitch when he joins the team. There are also some worries about working permits for the Chinese player, according to Express. Does Chelsea need to sign Linpeng now that they have Djilobodji, though?
