CBS' 'Supergirl' Spoilers: Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks' Pliot Premiere At 2015 NYCC!

Before its the official October premiere date, CBS will premiere the pilot of the DC Comics superheroine Supergirl.  Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist), Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh), Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) will be in attendance at the 2015 New York Comic Con.

As we previously mentioned, the CBS superhero drama will follow the comic book adventures of Kara Zor-El (Benoist). Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped before its destruction. While living on Earth, Kara has been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin. But now at the tender age of 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be.

According to TV Line, Warner Bros. TV is bringing to their freshmen series to New York Comic-Con next month, on Sunday October 11. Supergirl joins Blindspot, DC's Legends of Tomorrow and Containment, as well as returning series Gotham and Person of Interest.

As reported by the official Warner Bros TV Tumblr blog, there will be advance viewings of pilot episodes from Supergirl, Containment and Lucifer. After the screening of the complete pilot, the panel will be followed by a special Q&A with series stars, Melissa Benoist, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, and executive producer Ali Adler.

As we previously mentioned, San Diego Comic-Con also gave an early look at the CBS' eagerly anticipated superhero pilot. The screening was held at the opening night of the convention Wednesday night. Though pilot was previously leaked online, Twitter had lots to say over the rave reviews for the leading actress and supporting cast.

We have just seen the first look photo of Jenna Dewan Tatum (Witches of East End) as Lucy Lane. In the CBS drama, Lucy, who happens to be the sister of Lois Lane, is brash, funny and successful in her own right. Just like in the comics, Lucy will also be an ex-girlfriend of Jimmy Olsen (Brooks),
