Is Bernie Sanders leading Hillary Clinton in the race for president? Well, no, not yet; but the Vermont Senator is certainly getting closer. A new poll from NBC and the Wall Street Journal claims that the future of the left-wing party could be singing "Bernie!"

Per a report from The Huffington Post, the new poll was conducted from Sept. 20-24 amongst Democratic primary voters. In those findings, the poll named Clinton as the lead with 42% and Sanders creeping up quickly with 35%.

Mind you, we're still over a year outside of the actual election, so that means that Sanders going forth another 7% really wouldn't be too much of a shocker.

HuffPost reports that Clinton's polls earlier this month landed her at 59%, 34 points ahead of Sanders, who sat at 25%.

And as for Vice President Joe Biden? Well, he still has yet to report on a presidential run, but that doesn't mean the world isn't keeping hold of that hope.

Both candidates have been vying for their campaigns', stepping outside of the political sphere and moving into outlets in which the younger voters appear to be sitting.

Recently, Clinton stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and helped the host in a little skit about Republican contender Donald Trump.

Sanders, on the other hand, stopped by Larry Wilmore's The Nightly Show and had a little Soul Food Sit Down with the former Daily Show correspondent.
