'DeflateGate' is Old News: 'BatGate' Scandal Rocks 2015 NFL Season - Seahawks vs. Lions Drama

We're pretty sure we'll be talking about "DeflateGate," Tom Brady and the New England Patriots for while some time, but a new scandal erupted in the week four, Monday Night Football game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Detroit Lions. As star wide receiver Calvin Johnson fumbled the ball at the goal line that would've sealed a victory for Detroit, the loose ball was allegedly hit out of bounds by Seattle's K.J. Wright. Thus, "BatGate" is now the current controversy surrounding the NFL. Check out some Twitter reactions and video footage of the batting below!

Our headline photo above shows the exact moment Wright decided to bat the ball out of the back of the end zone, resulting in a review of the play, but the safety call remained the same. Technically, this is illegal, but it didn't seem to matter. Seattle got the ball back and won the game.
