Joe Giudice isn't being shy when it comes to his upcoming time behind bars. In fact, the father of four girls and husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Teresa Giudice, gained some advice from his family and lawyer James J. Leonard Jr. in the recent episode of their Bravo TV spin-off, The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In.

In case you missed Sunday's episode, this recap will catch you up ...

Joe spent some time with his daughter, Gia, even showing her the prison location where he would be reporting to when Teresa is released from her sentence in December after serving 15 months behind bars for the same crime.

Fort Dix is where Joe will be for the three years away he'll be behind bars. Joe seemed to joke about his prison sentence to cope with his stress."I don't even let that sh*t bother me because if you did you will lose your mind," Joe told his brother-in-law who asked if he ever thought about his upcoming prison sentence while on their way to their family shore house.

Joe claimed that is wife was at a "low budget spa," in the first episode while talking about how amazed he was that his wife still managed to get things done for the family while serving time in federal prison. In the clip below, Teresa even managed to tell her girls what type of dishes to sit on the table for dinner. Despite being able to have some privileges, Joe and Teresa's lawyer reminded them of reality, saying, "This not a Country Club, she is in prison."

Since being sentenced to 41 months in prison after pleading guilty to fraud, Joe claimed that he wasn't trying to do anything wrong, but just work his trade.

When his lawyer asked what he has been doing to get prepped for prison, Joe responded: "There's nothing you can do, I got to get physiologically ready. He added, "I'm making everyday count, it's been a struggle. The number one job is keeping food on the table and keeping myself healthy."

Joe also is also facing deportation. He said that Teresa and the girls would probably move to Italy with him. "I wouldn't want that because I don't really know the laws there. I've been here [America] for 44 years," Joe said after coming to America around the age of 1. "I never thought to file for citizenship. I consider myself an American. I don't know anything about Italy."

Joe's lawyer requested that he seek some knowledge from people in his town that also have been in prison to help him prepare for his own time behind bars.

Later on in the show, Joe did what his lawyer asked and ate dinner with a ex-convict who previously served seven years in prison. Following the judges orders, Joe road his bike after his license was taken away to the local train station which he had to take into New York City to go to Little Italy to have dinner with an ex-convict named Angelo Lutz.

The two men and the Giudice's lawyer enjoyed a dinner from RHOA's Rino Aprea's restaurant and talked.

"I chose to work hard, I'm still going to jail," the Italian restaurant owner said. "I pleaded guilty. I wasn't trying to do anything wrong. It's painful but it has made me much stronger," Joe said.

Lutz schooled Joe on prison and warned him that he would be highlighted as a "high profile inmate" because he was on TV. Lutz also explained that Joe was going to in for the shock of his life. "I was with some cavemen, they didn't wash, they didn't shower, you can't pick your cell," he explained.

"From the minute you go in, you gotta worry about what you're going to do when you get out of jail," the man told Joe. "What don't kill us makes us stronger," Lutz said.

Besides the daily events that happen in prison, Joe wanted to know about men's sexuality while being locked up. He was afraid that he might get hit on. Lutz told him that men would probably try to, but "it's all how you carry yourself. You're Italian -- somebody's going to look after you."

Joe even told Lutz that he was worried about his daughters and his wife. Lutz reassured him that "he had to do his time," but that he would be OK.

Joe admitted that he was ready to get his long sentence over with and move on with his life. "I'm ready to get it over with and that's it, and move on with my life," the father of four said.

He also revealed that he planned on growing old with his wife when they both got out of prison. "I hope that we grow old together," Joe told his wife during a phone conversation. For now, the couple have been spending alone time with each other through email, phone calls and phone sex.

Joe claimed that he and his family were all dealing with their situation, "one day at a time." He admitted that he has been sleeping on the couch while Teresa was in prison. "Since she's been gone I don't even think I've been in my bedroom."

Things got more serious as Joe said, "My time is coming, 42 months behind a freaking wall. When I get out I want to spend more quality time with my wife, God willing. It's all up to the man upstairs."
