Batman Solo Film Spoilers: Who Will be Cast as a Major Villain?

Warner Bros. has yet to confirm a solo Batman film, but rumors around the plot and movie's villain are being shared all over the internet. One character in particular that will apparently debut in the film is The Red Hood. According to JoBlo, who recently shared spoilers for the upcoming Wonder Woman film, the character will be resurrected after being killed by The Joker in the storyline, "A Death In The Family."

The upcoming feature film will be a crossover adaptation of A Death in the Family and Under The Hood storylines from the comic book series. JoBlo's sources are saying that the plot will include Jason Todd after he is resurrected as Red Hood and acting out crimes in the likeliness of Batman. Along the way, he will leave clues for Batman that will lead up to a major brawl between him, Batman and the other primary villain in the film, The Joker. Red Hood is also rumored to make an appearance in Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad, which is still unconfirmed.

The last trailer for Batman V Superman hinted at his part in the film when Bruce Wayne was shown looking at a case holding Robin's suit with the words, "HA HA HA Joke's On You BATMAN" written across it. Since it's important for fans to understand the importance of Todd's return, his presence in the upcoming Marvel films will need to make an impact.

Warner Bros. is rumored to be looking for an unknown to cast as Red Hood with hopes of having the actor look just like he is portrayed in the comic books. Another Robin character that is on deck to be in the solo Batman film is Dick Grayson. He will appear as Nightwing to help Batman battle Red Hood and The Joker.

There currently is no release date for the Batman film, but fans can look forward to Batman V Superman when it's released on March 25, 2016.
