'Gotham' Season 2 Ep 7 Recap: Will Ben McKenzie, Morena Baccarin See 'Mommy's Little Monster?'

Fox continues Season 2 of the Batman prequel series, Gotham. In Episode 6, are detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and his love Leslie Thompkins (Morena Baccarin) in danger of learning who's behind Theo Galavan (James Frain)'s Mommy's Little Monster?

Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) has finally found his mother (Carol Kane) in her cell. The lights turn on and Theo, alongside Tigress (Jessica Lucas) shows up. Butch (Drew Powell) shoots both of Penguin's henchmen dead. As Penguin begs for his mother's life, Tigress unlocks the cage.

Penguin screams as his mother dies from being stabbed in the back. He apologizes to his mother before she tells him he's a good boy. After Theo orders him dead, Penguin calls him a coward. Penguin slashes Theo's neck before he jumps out the window.

Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) talks to split personality, who hid Kringle's dead body. Leaving himself a riddle, Edward has to find her body at the precinct. Theo orders Silver St. Cloud Silver St. Cloud (Natalie Alyn Lind) to seduce Bruce and get him to sign the papers over to him.

With Theo winning at the polls, Nathaniel Barans ((Michael Chiklis) has to protect his next Mayor from Penguin. Harvey Dent (Nicholas D'Agosto) has an arrest warrant for Penguin. When Theo is elected Mayor, the strike force will set a curfew as they break down doors to apprehend Penguin.

At the mansion, Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) pays a visit to Bruce (David Mazouz). Selina discovers he also has a visitor and meets Silver. After Bruce leaves, Selina and Silver have a confrontation. At the precinct, Edward finds Kringle's hands in the vending machine. 

After watching Theo on the news, Penguin promises he dies tonight. As Bullock (Donal Logue) has a new lead, Leslie (Morena Baccarin)  gives him the key to her apartment. Alfred (Sean Pertwee) isn't too happy with Selina around. After calling Silver a "slut," Selina gets her to leave. Bruce realizes Selina doesn't have a idea what friendship means.

At their stakeout, Bullock and Gordon wonder what the connection between Theo and Penguin is. Holding Butch hostage, the detectives discover Zsasz wants him dead. After Butch spills everything, Bullock and Gordon grab some AK-47s and start shooting.  

As Bruce meets with Silver, Jim has Theo's mansion surrounded by by his strike force team. After finding Kringle's body, Nygma distracts Leslie by telling her they had a fight. As Penguin and his men enter, Tigress fires the first shot.  As Penguin's men swarm the mansion, Tigress kills one of Jim's men. 

During the shootout Jim and Penguin face each other in a standoff. Penguin warns Jim that Theo plans on killing someone close to him. Tigress takes a shot and hits Penguin in the shoulder. Bullock and Jim return fire as Penguin makes his escape in Theo's limousine.  

After watching the news, Bruce and Silver kiss as Selina watches from afar. Jim promises Theo he will go after him, even though he is now Mayor. 

Nygma finally accepts and lets his split personality take control.
