One 11-year-old boy has been named a hero after he pushed his sister out of the path of a car. Little La'Darious Wylie of Chester, South Carolina didn't think twice when he risked his own life to save his 7-year-old sister, Sha'Vonta, while at their bus stop last month. According to Fox 59, Wylie saw a car coming his sister's way and pushed her out of the way, keeping her safe but getting hit himself. The driver behind of the wheel of the car that killed Wylie was identified as Michelle Johnson, 57. Investigators claimed that Johnson didn't stop to help or contact the authorities after the accident; fleeing the scene instead.

The 57-year-old was charged with felony hit-and-run a few days after the accident happened. If convicted, Johnson could get up to 25 years in prison.

Wylie's mother, Elizabeth McCrorey, said that she doesn't hate the woman who killed her son, she just wished Johnson would've stopped to help. As a result of this brave young man's actions, his community is working on renaming the city's Brooklyn Park after him. The community of Chester, want's the name change to honor the heroic boy since he played at the park as a child. The park is also close by to the bus stop where Wylie was hit.

A Chester County official revealed that the idea hasn't officially been set up just yet but said naming the park after the 11-year-old boy would be an "honorable way to remember him."

Since his death, Wylie's name has spread like wildfire throughout the nation. His name has been honored in many places, including the KFC seen below.

He was a brave and heroic young man taken much too soon. Wylie and his family will be in our prayers.
