Today is a big day for fans of Marc Maron. The comedian dropped his interview with Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels on his popular podcast WTF. And wouldn't you believe, they actually seemed to hit it off.

If you're a WTF listener, then you are well aware of the fact that Maron and Michaels have history—whether or not the latter knew it. Maron was reportedly called into Michael's office back in 1995 for a conversation about possibly appearing on the Weekend Update portion of SNL. Ultimately, it didn't' happen, and Maron appears to have held a grudge ever since – until recently.

Seriously, let's be real, Maron's career is pretty great at this moment so that Michaels grudge had to die, no?

Anyway, there were a number of factors that the comedian believes could have led to him not being chosen for Saturday Night Live: Was it because he was smoking a lot of pot? Was it because he took some candy off of Lorne Michaels' desk? Was it because they actually wanted to use him as a tool to keep Norm MacDonald on the show? Who knows, but the IFC star definitely wanted some questions answered.

Maron famously leaked news that he was going to be interviewing Michaels last month at The New Yorker Festival. He joked that he was "set up for something to be horrible," adding, "I don't have the right attitude for this interview."

The comedian further admitted that he was going to be working out some "daddy sh*t" in the interview.

But honestly, given a listen to the interview, it appears the two got along just fine.
