L'oreal spokesmodel and actress, Eva Longoria, is set to steam up television with new project Telenovela, a new Latin comedy series debuting on December 7 following The Voice on NBC. This will mark the first program that Longoria will star in since Desperate Housewives. The thirteen episodes were created and developed by production company owned by the spokesmodel called UnbeliEVAble.

The series will center around "Popular diva Ana Maria, star of Latin America's most beloved telenovela who strives to stay on top in a world where the drama on-camera is nothing compared to the off-camera, centers on an ambitious telenovela star - a character created for her - who struggles to stay on top in a world where the drama on-camera is nothing compared to the drama off-camera," reports Deadline. The Texan and now Hollywood executive producer will co-star alongside Cuban-America Jencarlos Canela who plays the suave hunk, Xavier Castillo.

While the beauty has recently sold nine projects this season, she is still executive producing Lifetime network's Devious Maids. My San Antonio reported that the star is also executive produce Pair Of Aces along with partner, Ben Spector, and writer Nikki Toscana. The ABC drama will be "loosely based" on San Antonio's political brothers who are twins, Juián and Joaquín Castro. "After reading the Vogue article, I though 'What if we did a show about brothers on opposite sides of the political spectrum,'" Longoria wrote via email. "And with a dark family history that is full of skeletons - so actually it's the opposite of the Castro brothers! Haha," she says. "I think Texas politics are as big as national politics so it was an interesting background for a show."

A cast has yet to be decided on but beauty and brains seem to make great teammates!
