During the Season 3 hiatus of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Marvel's Agent Carter returns for Season 2 on ABC. In the all-new promo, Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) and her sidekick, Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) have set the January premiere date in 2016.

As we previously mentioned, the second season follows as Carter has become dedicated to the fight against the new atomic age threats. In the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home, and maybe even find a new love, Carter is about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood masks a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.

As we mentioned before, Wynn Everett has landed the role of Whitney Frost, better known as the villainous Madame Masque. Lotte Verbeek joins the cast as Ana Jarvis, and Currie Graham is Whitney's high-powered businessman husband Calvin Chadwick. Not only will Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) return, so will the evil Dottie Underwood (Bridget Regan). Kurtwoord Smith will play Vernon Masters, a veteran of the War Department. Like his last name says,

According to Variety, "While the specific threats that Peggy must face in the new season are being kept under wraps for the time being (this is Marvel, after all), the promo showcases Peggy's trademark combination of dry British wit and ass-kicking skills, in addition to hinting at a new romance with Reggie Austin's Jason Wilkes, a quirky but charming scientist."

Actor Ken Marino has also anded the recurring role as volatile mob boss Joseph Manfredi.

The second season of Agent Carter premieres with a two-hour episode on Tuesday, January 5 at 9pm on ABC.
