Comedian and star of Broadway's Hand to God, Bob Saget has come out saying that he's quite saddened over Bill Cosby's now tarnished reputation as a result of the many sexual assault allegations being pinned against him.

Saget recently appeared on HuffPost Live alongside his Broadway co-star Steven Boyer and was asked if, as a graduate of Temple University and stand-up comedian, he believes Cosby's stature in comedy still holds up, or if he thinks his status is now completely tainted.

The Full (and Fuller!) House star noted that Cosby was indeed a mentor of his. "I was on The Tonight Show [with Cosby] two weeks before Johnny Carson went off, and it's very sad." He then added, visibly disappointed, that it's rather obvious The Cosby Show star's reputation is stained from the over 50 accusations which have come against him from women accusing him of some sort of sexual assault.

"It's just sad for all of the people involved," Saget added.

The comedian concluded that we cannot deny the fact that Cosby changed stand-up comedy forever, but added that oftentimes you find that people who you once looked up to can easily come "down off their throne when things like this happen" – which can easily devalue one's achievements.
