All hail the new queen of Broadway! NeNe Leakes made her debut in Chicago the Musical earlier this week and the RHOA star went on with a bang. The star took to the Great White Way as she portrayed Matron "Mama" Morton for the first time. Queen Latifah is most well known for the role, as she played the character in the Academy Award winning film adaptation, but from what we can tell, Leakes filled those shoes pretty well.

The star took to her Instagram account to post a few pictures from opening night. The first image the she uploaded featured her taking her bow in her character's costume, while she was all smiles and holding a huge bouquet of flowers.

"I did it," the star posted in the caption for the picture," also adding the hashtags, "#Chicago #Neneismamamorton #Nyc #gettingbacktome #debut."

And according to PEOPLE it seems like Leakes killed it in the role, as the news site posted some of the congratulator comments from some of the patrons that saw her in the opening night of the show.

Yet, it wasn't just the attendees who congratulated Leakes on the performance, but also her RHOA co-stars. Sheree Whitfield took to her Twitter account writing, "Proud of you @NeNeLeakes You are gonna kill it! #neneinchicago."

On opening night, NeNe took to her Instagram to post a picture of the ad of her on Broadway.

"Heyyyy that's me! My face is up on Broadway once again! Tonight is the night of my debut!" the star wrote on the caption. "Sometimes you gotta be proud of your own self #chicago #Neneismamamorton #nyc PS: Thank you to everyone that is sending well wishes, flowers & cards! I love you all."
