Yasiel Puig, Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder, was involved in a bar fight at a Miami club on Wednesday night. After an altercation with his sister saw words turn into shoves, staffers rushed over to break things up. However, that's when things escalated.

TMZ spoke with employees at Blue Martini in Miami, who say Puig was drinking with his sister at the bar when the pair exchanged a few heated words. After the words turned physical, staffers rushed over to intervene, but Puig got physical with the staffers. The crew was eventually able to get Puig outside the bar, where they say he sucker punched the manager, setting off a complete brawl.

Finally, with several staffers jumping in to restrain Puig, the scuffle was quelled. The exchange left Puig with a swollen eye, and bumps and bruises to the face, while a bouncer suffered a busted lip. The incident was reported, but Puig was not arrested as it was considered "mutual combat."

It's not the first off the field incident for Puig. Back in 2013, he was arrested twice for reckless driving, prompting the Dodgers to say they were "very disappointed" with his behavior.

Puig's latest incident with his sister will be under the scrutiny of MLB's new comprehensive policy concerning domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. Put into place back in August, commissioner Rob Manfred was given broad discretion for determining the length of punishment for players, with no maximum or minimum penalties in place.

The Cuban defector--who plies his trade in Los Angeles but calls Miami home in the off-season--was limited to just 72 games because of injuries this past season. He hit .255 with 11 home runs and 30 RBIs. And while it looks like no charges will be pressed against the slugger from either his sister or employees of Blue Martini, he still could face sanctions from the MLB.
