Jahlil Okafor, the star rookie for the Philadelphia 76ers and number 3 overall pick in last years NBA draft, was involved in a street fight outside a Boston nightclub after his team's recent loss to the Celtics.

In a video obtained by TMZ, Okafor is seen shouting out at men who appear to be heckling him and a teammate. The altercation started when the pair was exiting a Boston bar after their recent loss to the Celtics. The loss extended their winless record to 0-16.

In the video, Okafor can be heard shouting, "We got money, you broke ass [expletive]." Okafor's teammate attempts to restrain him, but the 6'11" forward is able to break free from his teammate's grasp. He connects on a punch with a man who appeared to be heckling him, sending him to the ground. Police were called, but no arrests were made as everybody fled the scene before the police arrived.

According to TMZ, Okafor felt threatened because people swarmed him on the street. He says that someone got physical with his teammate, so he did what he felt he needed to do to protect himself and the friend. However, Okafor didn't condone the behavior.

"It was definitely dumb on my part," Okafor said Friday of the incident, via Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer. "It's something that I am embarrassed about." Pompey added that Okafor was "still dealing with the league and the team. But I'm not happy about it at all. But we are still going through the process of what we are going to do."

The hecklers that Okafor and a teammate encountered were reported as saying, "the 76ers suck." Okafor acknowledged that the losing is becoming frustrating.

"We are all staying together, working extremely hard." He said. "we are coming in every day at shoot around, and we keep coming up a little short. We get close.

"So it does get a little frustrating to hear it all the time that we are 0-and-whatever. So it's definitely frustrating."
