The CW network continues Season 2 of The Flash. In Episode 8, in the first part of the Arrow crossover, will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), the scarlet speedster, and Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) discover if they really are Legends of Today?

Remembering how Zoom beat him, Barry doesn't have a lot of options on how to beat him. Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) may have a plan. Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) has arrived at the shipyard docks and kills his way through. Another sacrifice has to be made soon.

Patty (Shantel VanSanten), Barry, and Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) analyze the crime scene at the precinct. Kendra (Ciara Renee) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) are on their date when Vandal interrupts. Savage remembers her as a priestess. Calling in for help, the Flash arrives in time when Vandal throws the knife.

Barry's plan is to take Kendra to Star City, but Cisco doesn't think they need Team Arrow. At a heist, Diggle (David Ramsey), Thea (Willa Holland), and the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) arrive to fight Damien Dahrk (Neal McDonough). The scarlet speedster saves Arrow when Damien is draining his life force.

Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is happy to see Barry but mad he didn't tell her his back was broken. Using facial recognition, Felicity discovers he's been around since the '70s. Felicity has to cool down Oliver as he snaps at Barry and Cisco. Harrison thinks he has a serum that could push the speed force further.

At the apartment, Felicity is happy to hear about Patty. During Oliver's toast, Cisco admits to Barry that he got a vibe from Kendra. All of a sudden, Vandal jumps through the window and attacks. As the Flash catches the knives, Arrow keeps shooting at Vandal. Thea ends up hitting Vandal with three arrows but he manages to survive the fall.

As Malcolm (John Barrowman) shows up, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) shows up and argues with Harrison about Velocity 6. Malcolm warns the group about the immortal Vandal Savage and they cannot save Kendra. As Patty ends up following Harrison, Cisco watches Kendra get kidnapped by Hawkman.

As Felicity tracks down Kendra, Hawkman gets her memories to return. Arrow then takes on Hawkman before he lifts Flas into the air. The Flash and Arrow work together before lightning knocks out Hawkman.

While Patty ends up shooting Harrison in the shoulder, Hawkman is in chains. Revealing their soulmates, Hawkman knows they will die, like their past reincarnations. Malcolm knows Vandal is trying to get back the staff of Horace.

While Caitlin operates on Jay, Kendra makes a jump off the ledge. Barry races and grabs her before she hits the pavement. After giving Barry advice, Oliver realizes the staff is in Central City.

Jay injects himself with the serum and takes out the bullet in Harrison. While Vandal uses the staff's power, Kendra suddenly sprouts her wings. The Flash grabs Arrow before Vandal blows himself up.

Harrison thanks Jay for saving him but he wants the serum away from Barry. As everyone gets on Felicity's private jet, Oliver sees his son with his former ex.
