According to Rolling Stone Magazine, legendary rock band the Rolling Stones are planning to play 18 North American tour dates this year. That is right classic rock fans, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards could be back on tour as soon as 2013!

The band's tour would be their first since 2005-2007's "A Bigger Bang" tour. The Rolling Stones did; however, impress crowds during their "50 and Counting" shows in London and New York last year. A source told Rolling Stone that the launch date for the 18 North American tour dates is May 2. The source went on to say, "I've heard West Coast cities - L.A. And Seattle. But I think they're going to do some back East as well."

UK fans needn't worry because rumor has it that the Stones will be playing Glastonbury as well. In an interview with MTV News UK, Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno may have leaked the news. When asked if the English rock band (Kasabian) would be the most talked about band at the June rock festival, Pizzorno said, "Yes, that would be a miracle because The Rolling Stones are playing Glastonbury. I can imagine there will be a lot of people there waiting for them." The Glastonbury Festival takes place June 26-30.

According to Billboard, Australian promoter Paul Dainty and Virgin music will be promoting the Rolling Stones' North American tour. This is the same team of promoters that presented their 50th Anniversary shows last year in London, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.

Despite the band members pushing 70, the Rolling Stones are one of the most profitable bands in the world. By all accounts, they also still put on a great show. If sources are correct, the Stones will be putting on 18 more great shows throughout North America in 2013.

What do you think of the Rolling Stones going back on tour again this year? Do you think they can still hold their own?
