Lauren Cohan, who everybody knows as Maggie on The Walking Dead, shocked everyone when she chopped off her long brown locks into a short pixie cut as she arrived at Madison Square Garden on December 11 for the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York.

The 33-year-old actress arrived donning a casual look to go with her new short haircut, wearing a pair of faded black jeans, a loose black top under a classic black blazer with rolled up sleeves.

She kept her makeup simple and subtle to put more emphasis on her pixie cut. She just let her natural good looks accentuate themselves.

She accessorized with gold stud earrings and a gold chain necklace that enhanced her all black ensemble.

Although Cohan looked fresh and happy with her new hair, not everyone was happy about it.

Her new look had fans worried, fearing for Maggie's fate on the American horror drama TV series. A simple haircut of an actress portraying a beloved character may mean something and it caused fans the maximum amount of panic.

Cohan has been a staple on the hit show since her character was first introduced in Season 2.

She’s the sole survivor from the Greene farm, Maggie is one of the very few original characters still alive in both the TV show and the comic, but with all the twists on the show, that doesn't guarantee her safety and that doesn't mean that she won’t be killed off.

Her on-screen husband Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, left followers of the series broken hearted when he appeared to be eaten alive by walkers on October’s “Thank You” episode.

Now, it seems like it's Lauren's turn to send fans into a frenzy after revealing her new look, most especially when the Season 6 midseason finale left her in a tough situation.

The Walking Dead fans must wait until February 14 until season six continues.
