Wildabouts and former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland died from an overdose of drugs and alcohol. The toxicology report for rocker found he had cocaine, ecstasy and alcohol in his system at the time of his death. The troubled frontman was found dead at the age of 48 on his tour bus.

The singer died on December 3 while on tour with The Wildabouts in Minnesota.

Police discovered cocaine in the bedroom where Weiland was found dead. Cocaine was also found on the bus where 47-year-old Thomas Black slept. Black was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner revealed toxicology reports show the singer died of "an accidental overdose of cocaine, ethanol and, methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA)."

Police also discovered bipolar medication, Xanax and sleeping pills on the tour bus, but these medications apparently did not contribute to Weiland's death.

TMZ reported that Weiland's heart disease and asthma, along with his past drug abuse also played a part in his death.

The singer has a history of addiction, which led to arrests and many stints in rehab for his drug and alcohol abuse. Weiland was arrested in 1995 with crack and heroin, pleading guilty to felony heroin possession in 1998. The frontman's addiction problems led the Stone Temple Pilots kicking him out of the band in 2003.

Weiland's friend, Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, revealed that Scott was a "shell of himself" when he saw him several weeks before he died.

McGrath said on the podcast Allegedly, "I saw him three weeks ago at a friend's wedding. We had a few drinks. He was a little slow. It was strange.. he was like a shell of himself."

He added, "He still got up and did a couple of STP songs and it was amazing. The voice never left him. It was kind of an Elvis thing."
