The father of Black prime time television, Bill Cosby, is still undergoing some scrutiny from the press. It was reported by CNN that days after Cosby filed a defamation lawsuit against seven of the more than fifty women, the fighting lawyers issued a subpoena for his wife's deposition. The jello pudding father of comedy has filed a motion on Friday to fight the subpoena to be deposed in Springfield, Massachusetts, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Exactly what does Camille Cosby have to do with the allegations on Mr. Cosby? Joseph Cammarata, one of the accuser's lawyers, has said that the reason for Cosby's wife subpoena is solely due to her being his business manager during the years of the alleged rapes.

"Cosby's lawyers said Camille Cosby does not have any information about the accuracy of the women allegations. They also allege that the attempt to subject her to deposition is 'nothing more than a thinly veiled attempt to pressure defendant in the face of subjecting his wife to the shame and embarrassment of responding to questions about his alleged infidelities and sexual misconduct,'" the publication reports.

Last year, Mrs. Cosby released a statement supporting her husband, "The man I met, and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work," CNN quotes.

In similar news, along with the other seven women Cosby is suing, now included is Beverly Johnson. Johnson recently gave her take on an alleged encounter with Cosby in Vanity Fair magazine. The incident in question took place at his home while his wife was away. She stated that he drugged her and attempted to sexually assault her. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she took part in other interviews, and wrote a memoir defaming his character.

The publication reports, they reached out Johnson's publicist and have yet to receive an answer.
