Drake Bell was arrested on suspicion of a DUI on Monday after being pulled over by Glendale, California, police for speeding and swerving. Cops spotted the singer and actor braking abruptly and speeding at around 2:20 a.m. The former Drake & Josh Nickelodeon star smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test.

Glendale Police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot stated the smell of alcohol was noticeable in his vehicle and Bell reportedly took a field sobriety test and failed.

The 29-year-old actor was released on a $20,000 bail after being held for 10 hours.

The former child star's mugshot photo was shared on Twitter.

The actor previously starred on the popular Nickelodeon show Drake & Josh from 2004 until 2008. He has also appeared on The Amanda Show with Amanda Bynes from 1999 to 2002. Bell starred on Ultimate Spider-Man from 2012 to 2015.

The actor and his former Drake & Josh co-star, Josh Peck, will reunite on an episode of Grandfathered in Spring 2016. The former child star got his start in1994 on the TV show Home Improvement.

Bell was criticized in June after tweeting he would still call Olympian and reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner by her previous identity, Bruce Jenner. He later deleted the post and apologized for his "thoughtless insensitive remarks."

These days Bell is a singer and has released three albums and is touring.

He also will star in two movies and a television movie that are currently in production, which includes Where The Bad Kids Go, Cozmo’s, and Bluer Than the Sky.
