Along with superstar wife Beyoncé, Jay Z is one of the biggest names in the music industry and has helped skyrocket the careers of Kanye West and Rihanna, so the man definitely knows a thing or two about what it takes to make an artist one of the biggest names in the world, and he thinks One Direction singer Harry Styles could be on his way to becoming a megastar!

Last Sunday, the Daily Star released an interview with the "Empire State of Mind" rapper where he spoke about how he wanted to become Styles' manager and make him into the "biggest artist in the world" by helping him launch a prosperous solo career.

"Harry doesn't need any help with exposure; everybody in the world knows who he is," Jay Z explained, then saying that Styles does need to separate his group personality to become his own thing. "I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers – and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year."

Jay Z could even bring wife Beyonce along for his new venture at mentoring. The "Crazy In Love" singer was once part of one of the most girl bands in the 1990s, Destiny's Child, and managed to separate from the group to become arguably the most important female star in the music scene of the past few decades.

While that doesn't necessarily mean One Direction will be left without its biggest star (just as it's recovered from Zayn Malik's departure last year), but usually, when one of the singers of a band becomes a huge solo artist, their core project suffers.

BBC reports that Styles' plans for a solo album have become increasingly evident. Not too long ago, four new songs were registered on a performing rights' organization in America under Styles' name. The titles are "5378 Miles," "Already Home," "Coco" and "Endlessly" – just ahead of One Direction taking a break from touring!
