Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens just got a dose of Indonesian ass-kicking. If Star Wars fans were excited by the initial Force Awakens trailer, then they better strap in for what director JJ Abrams has in store after he cast Iko Uwai, the star of 2014's epic ass-kicking fest The Raid 2, for a role in the upcoming sci-fi epic. Alongside fellow newcomers John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnal Gleeson and Adam Driver, Uwai will also join franchise holdovers Harrison Ford, Mark Hammil and Carrrie Fisher in the film, which is due out in December 2015. Kirstie Alley is starting off the New Year already way ahead of all of our resolutions to stay fit. The It Takes Two actress and Jenny Craig spokesperson appeared on the Today show earlier today to show off her new body to host Matt Lauer. Cameron Diaz isn't wasting any time in her engagement to Benji Madden before jumping into holy matrimony with the Good Charlotte guitarist. When it comes to dream casting scenarios, we know that plenty of you Star Wars fans out there are hoping for a number of stars to appear in The Force Awakens and the other films coming after 2015, but this week we learn of three new cast members that joined the J.J. Abrams film - and we should be very excited. The Raid: Redemption and its sequel, The Raid 2: Berandal, are easily two of the most violent, action-packed films of recent time, with the main cast performing a number of the stunts to make the action look very, very real. 'Kick Ass' and 'X-Men: First Class' director Matthew Vaughn has taken a swipe at Christopher Nolan, saying that with his Batman trilogy, his fellow superhero movie-maker tired people out of 'dark' superhero films. Ahead of the release of his new Colin Firth-starring spy action-thriller 'Kingsman: The Secret Service', Vaughan has said that audiences are craving more light-hearted fare like James Gunn's 'Guardians of the Galaxy', rather than brooding, heavy films like 'The Dark Knight' trilogy or Zac Snyder's 'Man of Steel'. After the rumors of Wolf of Wall Street actress Margot Robbie being linked to Rupert Sanders-directed Ghost in the Shell movie adaptation were dismissed when she was cast in The Suicide Squad, a new name started circling the project: Scarlett Johansson.
