The country is slowly ... slowly ... slowly ... slowly legalizing the use of marijuana. As states like Washington and Colorado have already done it (and seen an enormous boost in revenue), there are other states in our great nation trying to do the same. The unfortunate downside of marijuana being legal in states is that it is still illegal in the country. What that means is that the federal government still has control over the state marijuana laws. Which leads to marijuana busts and a whole heap of a mess. But if California Republican Dana Rohrabacher has his way a new bill proposed, it looks like the Feds will soon have to respect those marijuana laws that states enforce. Read More »
So, this could be the scariest thing we’ve ever encountered. Not the getting high with Tommy Chong part – that sounds like a blast. What’s terrifying is the thought of walking through a supposed haunted house while stoned out of your skull. But it seems there’s a group of people willing to do it, film it and upload it: Funny or Die. In this new video, the comedy site recently paired a group of people alongside Chong for a segment called Scared Stoned with Tommy Chong. Together, the group got high, talked a little bit about the origin story of the now-famed 4/20, and walked through what they believed to be a haunted house. It's 4/20, everyone, and what that means is that there are many people across the country (and perhaps even the world?) who are sparking up some joints throughout the entire day. And while most of us are doing so illegally, there are some places in the United States where it's perfectly legal. For example, Denver, Colorado. And to prove that, the Denver Police Department recently tweeted out a supportive pro-weed message to the denizens of their lovely city, specifically to enjoy, but of course, consume responsibly. The lighthearted tweet came last night, letting the citizens of Denver know that the police see them "rollin'" and they "ain't hatin'" on the fact that they'll be enjoying themselves on this day. Well, it’s 4/20, folks. To kick us off, the fine team over at Team Coco decided to drop the world premiere of celebrated stoner (and sure, legendary musician) Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard’s music video for “It’s All Going To Pot.” The song is off the duo’s new album Django and Jimmy, which will be released this coming June 2. 4/20 is here, folks! And to celebrate the oh, so hazy holiday of pot-smoking, we here at MStars News thought it best to count down the top five celebrity stoners that Hollywood has to offer. Naturally, the land-o-celebs is filled with a large number of people who smoke marijuana, but there are a select few (okay, maybe more) who actually seem to really publicize the ... hobby? From the comedy industry to the land of dramatic acting and music, pot is arguably more popular than drinking in Hollywood –– especially because it's rather legal in California if you have a prescription. Like many celebrities, Lil Wayne took to Twitter to wish potheads of all stripes a happy 4/20. Unlike most celebrities, Weezy F. Baby just went through a health scare that many still attribute to drug use (in spite of the singer revealing that he suffers from epilepsy). Needless to say, reactions were mixed. Read More »
