Wendy Williams has finally broken her silence and is addressing the backlash she has been getting from outraged fans and celebrity friends of Aaliyah after a Lifetime biopic premiered Saturday, Nov. 15. After Timbaland and fans across the nation expressed their disgust for the "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B" film, Williams finally addressed the criticism — and if you think she was going to issue an apology, think again. Williams said: "I see my Aaliyah movie broke the Internet this weekend! Everybody got an opinion. Well, I must tell you, whether you loved or hate, you watched. Wendy Williams Shades Kelly Rowland's Newborn Son Titan Jewell — He's Not Even A Month Old Yet!

Wendy Williams has been a trending topic of discussion after the executive producer of the Lifetime biopic "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B" was criticized for the film over the weekend. In a new interview with Marc Lamont Hill of "The Huffington Post," Williams threw shade at new mother Kelly Rowland for naming her son Titan. When Hill asked the infamous talk-show host about Rowland's choice to name her son Titan Jewell, Wendy said: "Well I hope that the boy can live up to that because I’ll tell you what, a 'titan is not short. and he’s not scrawny. 'Titan' to me is, even if he’s short, he’s wide and cut, and you gotta play the game of life like a titan. You can’t be a loser. So I hope that he can live up to it." Timbaland Unleashes Frustration Over 'Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B' Lifetime Biopic

Not only are fans upset with Saturday, Nov. 15's Lifetime biopic "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B," but it seems the late singer's close friends, like Timbaland, are, too! "MStars News" previously reported that fans everywhere have been talking about the controversial biopic, as well as celebrities. One celebrity in particular is Aaliyah's BFF and producer Timbaland. During Saturday night's premiere, Timbaland took to Instagram to let his and Aaliyah's fans know how he really felt about the new biopic. Timbaland uploaded a number of photos, asking fans of Aaliyah not to watch the film executive produced by Wendy Williams. Williams assured fans that the Lifetime film was "tastefully done." "The family is not happy that the movie is being done, but we did it so tastefully I think the family would be proud," Williams said previously on The View. "We're not throwing anybody under the bus." Meanwhile, Timbaland and fans of the late singer seem to disagree with the infamous gossip talk-show host. In his first post, Timbaland advised fans not to watch Saturday's premiere. "Hope yall not watching this!!!!!!!!," the producer told fans. Looks like Wendy Williams's opinion of the new Aaliyah (Alexandra Shipp) biopic may need to take a second look! According to fans of the late singer, "Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B," was a total disappointment. The Lifetime film premiered Saturday night, Nov. 15, as fans flooded social media with their disgust. The controversial biopic of the late R&B icon has been one of the latest low-budget TV films that has been questioned by fans. According to VH1, other highly criticized films produced recently include "The Brittany Murphy Story," "Saved By the Bell" and "CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story."
