Not only are fans upset with Saturday, Nov. 15's Lifetime biopic Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, but it seems the late singer's close friends, like Timbaland, are, too!

MStars News previously reported that fans everywhere have been talking about the controversial biopic, as well as celebrities.

One celebrity in particular is Aaliyah's BFF and producer Timbaland. During Saturday night's premiere, Timbaland took to Instagram to let his and Aaliyah's fans know how he really felt about the new biopic.

Timbaland uploaded a number of photos, asking fans of Aaliyah not to watch the film executive produced by Wendy Williams.

Williams assured fans that the Lifetime film was "tastefully done."

"The family is not happy that the movie is being done, but we did it so tastefully I think the family would be proud," Williams said previously on The View. "We're not throwing anybody under the bus."

Meanwhile, Timbaland and fans of the late singer seem to disagree with the infamous gossip talk-show host. In his first post, Timbaland advised fans not to watch Saturday's premiere.
