By Kenneth Brown | Oct 21, 2014 09:50 AM EDT

LeBron James rarely has a day away from the spotlight, and he's in the headlines for many reasons this week. First, the "king" claimed that the Chicago Bulls were a "far better team" than his Cleveland Cavaliers. Second, he led his NBA team to domination over the Bulls. Third, he received some Ohio State Buckeyes goodies. Who says you have to play college basketball after all? He's slowly learning what to say and how to motivate teammates Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson, and it's clear for all to see that James knows what he's doing. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin Toughen Up Los Angles Clippers' Rookies Ahead Of 2014/15 NBA Season

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 20, 2014 12:52 PM EDT

The Los Angles Clippers are a heavy favourite to win the NBA championship in the 2014/15 season, and it seems they're readying their rookies with some harmless hazing. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and many other Clippers stars took rookie C.J. Wilcox to a night club, and they forced him to dance while the majority of their roster watched on, laughing at him. He might well of felt alone for that minute, but the Clippers evidently believe that bonding will bring them together on the court, which could better their title chances. Read More »

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 19, 2014 06:33 PM EDT

Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have made alarming comments recently, ones that suggest they're still reeling by LeBron James's departure and that they have no idea of what's coming, which is worrying considering the NBA season is a matter of days away. Wade recently married Gabrielle Union, so perhaps his mind has been elsewhere, but now it's back focused on basketball matters, it has been revealed he's "deeply confused," and adding that to recent comments by Miami Heat teammate Bosh, it's not looking good for the title contenders. Wade's NBA future is uncertain. Read More »

LBJ better than MJ?

By Kenneth Brown | Oct 19, 2014 12:19 PM EDT

Since the day LeBron James entered the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers, he was quickly compared to Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan, and that's a comparison that has failed to fade away, and it seems James wants it that way. Not only that, but the "King" wants to replace him in every possible way. Jordan is considered the greatest player in the game by most fans, but James isn't far off, and he has time on his side. Now that he has left the Miami Heat and returned to the Cavaliers, is the 2014-15 season the one in which he finally replaces Jordan as the king of the record books? Read More »

Tristan Thompson Shows Up The Cleveland Cavaliers

A year ago Tristan Thompson and Dion Waiters were seen as talented youngsters who were helping the Cleveland Cavaliers with their NBA rebuilding efforts. But this season, with Kevin Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving in town, could they take a backseat? Thompson had a terrific preseason outing against the Dallas Mavericks, yet he messed up a goodbye kiss with a female reporter, raising the question: Will he help the Cavaliers this season, or will simple on-court mistakes get in the way of their title dreams? By Kenneth Brown | Oct 17, 2014 06:05 PM EDT

Kobe Bryant is fighting to save his NBA career, and now he has to prove to himself, the Los Angles Lakers and everyone else, that he's still the same Kobe he was a year or so ago. ESPN can be added to that list. They ranked Bryant as the 40th best player in the league for this season, and it seems the veteran shooter isn't too happy with the criticism. Not only does Kobe have to prove himself again this season, he's now at war with ESPN, and it seems that he's not ready to hold back, slamming them in his latest statement. Read More »

Gabrielle Union Climbs Rio's Christ The Redeemer As She Supports Miami Heat At The NBA Global Games Exhibition

By Star Connor | Oct 16, 2014 07:18 PM EDT

It'd look like a vacation of a lifetime or a fourth honeymoon for the newlyweds, as it appeared Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade still traveled their way around the world to vacation in Rio and for the NBA Global Games exhibition. The Cleveland Cavaliers claimed victory over the Miami Heat, winning 122-119 in an overtime game over the weekend. Though the game was an preseason, exhibition game, LeBron James proved he was comfortable being back at his home team of the Cavs, as it was the first time he faced off against his former teammates. By Kenneth Brown | Oct 16, 2014 11:40 AM EDT

Kevin Love has been slated by Chris Bosh, and even his former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he's taken to his new team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, like a duck takes to water, and to him that's all that matters. The NBA star will play alongside fellow Cavs, LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson this season, and he insists he's happy to avoid the spotlight if it means they win games, and possibly titles. So far the Cavaliers are 4-0 in preseason, and they've barely got out of second gear, so one can wonder, now the Cavaliers have Love, and a good team spirit, will it take them far in to the 2014/15 NBA season? The veteran sharp-shooter struggled in a recent preseason game, as did the Lakers, and Kobe immediately took himself and his family to Disneyland in an attempt to escape, and forget what looks set to be a miserable and possibly final season in the NBA. Will Kobe tarnish his long-living reputation with one bad season? Read More »
