LeBron James rarely has a day away from the spotlight, and he's in the headlines for many reasons this week. First, the "king" claimed that the Chicago Bulls were a "far better team" than his Cleveland Cavaliers. Second, he led his NBA team to domination over the Bulls. The Los Angles Clippers are a heavy favourite to win the NBA championship in the 2014/15 season, and it seems they're readying their rookies with some harmless hazing. Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and many other Clippers stars took rookie C.J. Wilcox to a night club, and they forced him to dance while the majority of their roster watched on, laughing at him. He might well of felt alone for that minute, but the Clippers evidently believe that bonding will bring them together on the court, which could better their title chances. Read More »
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have made alarming comments recently, ones that suggest they're still reeling by LeBron James's departure and that they have no idea of what's coming, which is worrying considering the NBA season is a matter of days away. Wade recently married Gabrielle Union, so perhaps his mind has been elsewhere, but now it's back focused on basketball matters, it has been revealed he's "deeply confused," and adding that to recent comments by Miami Heat teammate Bosh, it's not looking good for the title contenders. Kobe Bryant is fighting to save his NBA career, and now he has to prove to himself, the Los Angles Lakers and everyone else, that he's still the same Kobe he was a year or so ago. ESPN can be added to that list. They ranked Bryant as the 40th best player in the league for this season, and it seems the veteran shooter isn't too happy with the criticism. It'd look like a vacation of a lifetime or a fourth honeymoon for the newlyweds, as it appeared Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade still traveled their way around the world to vacation in Rio and for the NBA Global Games exhibition. The Cleveland Cavaliers claimed victory over the Miami Heat, winning 122-119 in an overtime game over the weekend.
