Clint Dempsey, the current captain of the United States Men's National Soccer team as well as star player for the Seattle Sounders this week showcased just how much he respects referees in his sport. When referee Daniel Radford showed Sounders player Michael Ariza a red card for what he deemed an illegal tackle, which also took place after a previous red card on Brad Evans, Clint decided to take the ref's notebook out of his hands and proceed to tear it up. So three players were kicked off the pitch, which was pretty terrible when Obafemi Martins had to leave the game with an injury after the Sounders used up all of their subs.
