The music video, full of the former Disney star writhing around on a bed, twerking and partying with her friends was quite scandalous but at least I was heralded as an original idea. Full of over-the-top twerking and dancing, lewd gestures and simulated sexual acts on stage, Cyrus has gained a fair amount of detractors from her antics. In case you are unaware, Texas oddball Riff Raff has a major beef with Harmony Korine, James Franco and the rest of the people behind Spring Breakers. He claims the movie stole his persona for the character of Alien played by Franco (for their part, the movie claims the character is based on St. Pete rapper Dangeruss). Raff says he plans to sue. Rick Ross has found himself in hot water as of late, and I'm not talking the surf off of South Beach. His guest verse on the song "U.O.E.N.O." (when said quickly it sounds like "You don't even know") raised the ire of many a woman's group with the date rape-y lyric of "Put molly all in her champagne/ She ain't even know it/ I took her home and I enjoyed that/ She ain't even know it." Reports confirm that director Cynthia Mort has cast Afro-Latina actress Zoe Saldana to star as the High Priestess of Soul in a highly-anticipated, upcoming Nina Simone biopic entitled "Nina."
