Comedian Bill Maher took the last few minutes of Friday night's Real Time to stick it to the leading Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin regarding their issues with illegal immigration. Maher went off on a sarcastic rant similar to that of Trump's during his presidential announcement – yes, the one in which he claimed Mexico was sending over their rapists. In this speech, however, Maher joked that with all the racist comments coming from Trump – and Palin's efforts to get everyone to "speak American" while in America – everyone seems to be missing that one group who continues to take over the U.S.: Australians. A day doesn't go by where Donald Trump isn't going after somebody. On some days he veers off and decides to slam Megyn Kelly. On others his wrath stays on the political spectrum. For today's news cycle he is staying political and he is in vintage trump form by going after President Barack Obama. According to Trump, the President has divided this country racially when it comes to the public and the police. Trump told The Economist that the Obama Presidency has left us sitting on "many powder keys." Read More »
In four months, Bernie Sanders has gone from an otherwise unknown presidential candidate to a man who has sold out stadiums. Even Sanders admitted this fact. It's because of his astronomical rise to fame he's saying his opponent Hillary Clinton is getting a little 'nervous.' With Sanders closing in on Clinton in Iowa, she might have to be. Read More »
In today's world, it feels like there are very few moments when the good guys win. Wars on television and political smearing from the left and right just leave us with a bad taste in our mouth. Thankfully, amongst the ashes of media mush, there are moments of triumph you can't help but recognize and feel good about. One moment of triumph in particular came when the great Tom Brady overruled the NFL's 4-game suspension with the help of federal courts. In the end, the suspension didn't hold up because the NFL refused to share their notes and they didn't notify Brady of his suspension. Naturally, when it comes to monumental rulings such as this one, Twitter users lose their minds. Here is what a few people in the public eye are saying about Brady's newfound freedom. The first is Presidential candidate Donald Trump. Read More »
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar pretty much said Donald Trump is going to be a terrible President and there isn't more proof than how he has acted with the media spotlight on him. Abdul-Jabbar said that taking pride in bullying reporters and wanting to ship people out of the country is unbecoming of an American leader. He further claimed that it also, technically, goes against the 1st and 14th amendments. True to form, Trump fired back. Choosing a sharpie as the method of response, Trump blasted the NBA legend and said he "doesn't have a clue." Read More »
Donald Trump has been very vocal about his views of fellow Republican candidate Jeb Bush – actually, he's been pretty outspoken about just about everyone both in and out of his party. With Bush, however, he believes he's a "low energy" candidate. To that, the brother to former President George W. Bush has just released an attack video on Trump, citing that he might not be as Republican as his supporters make him out to be. In fact, given his history and past comments on things such as abortion and taxing the rich, he might sway just plain ole liberal. Read More »
Donald Trump might have received the axe from NBC, having been fired for some NSFW comments he's made in the past which were construed as racist, but the former Celebrity Apprentice host isn't cutting ties with the network altogether. Trump, who is now the leading Republican presidential candidate, will reportedly stop by Jimmy Fallon's oh-so-popular Tonight Show this coming Sept. 11. Read More »
During a media tour with his daughter Liz Cheney, former Vice President Dick Cheney was asked about Donald Trump. Since Trump's meteoric rise in the Republican party, it only makes sense to ask the United States' former #2 man to comment about this non-politician's status during our country's most politically charged era. Cheney in turn responded gingerly to the CNN reporter. Read More »
Despite all the naysayers when it comes to Republican candidate Donald Trump, it appears the former Celebrity Apprentice star is still leading in the polls. With that, however, another person has come out speaking against the candidate – "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer Ricky Martin (yep, we went back that far...). Following that whole Jorge Ramos press conference thing, in which Trump had the Univision reporter removed for a little bit due to his inappropriate behavior, Martin wrote an op-ed calling out Trump. Back in March when Donald Trump's crusade for the presidency was in its infancy, he attempted to smear fellow Republican Ted Cruz by claiming he was born in Canada. "He was born in Canada, if you know, and when we all studied our history lessons, you're supposed to be born in this country, so I just don't know how the courts would rule on it," Trump said. Only a few months removed from this statement and it looks like both Trump and Cruz are the best of friends. At least that is what Trump is saying. Now the two are teaming up together next month for a rally against the Iran Nuclear deal. Read More »
Donald Trump has been at war with Univision ever since the network decided to cancel his Miss America pageant. They felt Trump's political stances are unfair to the Latino community in America. Now another shot has been fired in this war and it is between Jorge Ramos, a reporter for Univision, and the presidential candidate Trump. Apparently Ramos was kicked out of a press conference in Iowa after Trump felt the reporter was being "disruptive." Ramos was let back in and was finally allowed to ask his questions on immigration after. Read More »
