Reports confirm that after serving out a two-year jail sentence, rapper Ja Rule was just released from a New York federal prison on Tuesday morning (May 7). The popular musician/actor (real name, Jeffrey Atkins) was charged with attempted illegal gun possession and tax evasion back in 2011 (sentences which he concurrently served).
