The Nintendo 3DS got off to a shaky start. A few months into its inception the handheld console was forced to go through a price drop and it looked like Nintendo's latest product was a flop. These days it's finally looked at as a success. In the United States it has sold 15 million units and world wide it has sold more than 52 million. A few people in the UK are going to be let down in the next few days, especially those who put down the money in anticipation of the new Wii U game Splatoon. Apparently a truck from Nintendo's British warehouse chain GAME was taken from right under everyone's noses. On Tuesday, Nintendo released a mysterious tweet of a man in a hoodie raising his fists in a gym. According to the gaming giant, this was supposed to be a clue into their big 2015 E3 announcement that took place Thursday morning at 9 a.m. On Twitter, some speculated this was Punchout related, but it turns out that wasn't the case at all. Instead, their big announcement was the return of the Nintendo World Championships. On Thursday morning Universal Parks and Resorts announced they are moving forward with an idea that pays tribute to the inner child in all of us. The famed theme park said they are collaborating with Nintendo and they will soon have characters and worlds based on the video games all around their park. The Entertainment Software Association is here to say that they don't want anyone restoring older videogames who have long since been abandoned by their publishers. According to them, this is on par with hacking and Internet piracy. It looks like the long-standing war on older SNES, Sega Genesis and Gameboy roms and emulators will continue. Read More »

Earlier this year, a Nintendo fan penned a petition to the video game company to allow for same-sex coupling in the new game Tomodachi Life. This game allows players to start relationships and/or hang out in an alternate universe of gameplay using Mii characters for the 3DS and Wii U.
