Tom Ford's latest beauty venture, Lips & Boys, consists of 50 miniature — or as Ford calls them, "clutch-sized" — lipsticks in his Estée Lauder-licensed beauty line. According to "WWD," each of the 50 shades — named for a man past or present in Ford's life — will also be available for sale separately, beginning Nov. 28 at 12:01 a.m. on tomford.com for one day. On Dec. 26, it will reappear in-store in 200 of the brand's 400 global doors, and in 100 doors in North America. Ford says he's determined to build his beauty brand into an economic powerhouse rivaling that of corporate siblings Clinique, MAC Cosmetics and Estée Lauder. "If I don't believe I have something to say, and if I don't believe that I can compete, I don't do it," Ford said emphatically during an exclusive interview with "WWD." "I've never understood people who wanted to do something and said, 'Oh, I'm going to do this, but I'm just going to be the second-best.' I believe that I have a point of view in beauty, and I believe we have enormous potential." How much potential? The pop star hit the stage in a sexy, black sequined Tom Ford ensemble that consisted of a cape and leggings from the upcoming Spring collection. Vibe Vixen reports, the "Diamonds" singer turned up her outfit several notches with a luxurious Chopard diamond choker, and black Manolo Blahnik sandals that complimented her flawless look. British brand Burberry is to be honored with a Rodeo Drive Walk of Style Award next month. According to Telegraph, the label will join fellow luxury fashion brands like Tom Ford, Salvatore Ferragamo, Bulgari and Manolo Blahnik by being immortalized with a plaque along the famous shopping destination in Beverly Hills, California.
