Paul Feig's 'Ghostbusters': Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy Movie Trailer Release Date?

When the Ghostbusters franchise was announced to be rebooted, the movie became one of the most talked about upcoming films. After then, bits of news and lots of pictures of the new team of Ghostbusters are being revealed. However, footage or any video relating to the film has been unfortunately lacking. Good thing director Paul Feig revealed when the first trailer is to be expected. .

Paul Feig announced via Twitter bits of information regarding the latest development on the film. According to the post, Ghostbusters already launched its new website and that the trailer's deadline would be at the end of February. Isn't it great? Though it's about 3 weeks from now, still it's in the same month. Lucky for us, time flies.

Ghostbusters has been controversial since the announcement that the new team would be made up soley of women. With this announcement, nobody knew what the finished product would look like. A lot of dislikes and doubts about the decision are surfacing. Hopefully, the trailer should be awesome and prove the doubters wrong.

The trailer should also shed some light as to the mystery of the film's story line. Though some details were already revealed, particularly the one about Kristen Wiig as a shamed professor who joins the Ghostbusters (Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon) after the discovery of her writing a book about the existence of ghosts. This detail might take up the first 15-20 minutes of the movie. The leading parts would be, obviously, a surprise. However, it is expected not to see Gozer or Viggo the Carpathian in the movie, there is also no news as to who or what will be the film's big bad if there is one. One thing's for sure though, there will be a lot of ghosts.
