There is little doubt that 300 was one of Zack Snyder's groundbreaking films that showcased the director's distinctive style and plenty (300, to be exact) of bare-chested Spartans. Now it looks like the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director might actually have his eye on bringing another respected historical leader to the big screen. The thing is, this time, the leader happens to be George Washington.

Bloomberg Business has just written an expansive profile on Snyder that covers his works as well as his future projects. The profile indicates that although the director will be working on both Justice League movies, he is also interested in making a film that has nothing to do with comic books. Snyder's plans were clearly specified in the report.

"One of these days, he'd like to make one about George Washington in the style of 300," the report read, adding that Snyder's inspiration is the painting "Washington Crosses the Delaware" by Emanuel Leutze, a print of which is seen in his office.

Although it may be hard to imagine Washington as a shirtless warrior brutally taking on the British, it sounds like Snyder has already been discussing the project with a few producers.

"We were talking about it," he said. "The first thing we asked was, 'Well, how are we going to make it look?' I pointed at this painting. It looks like 300. It's not that hard."

It may be difficult to picture out how Snyder will be giving the first President of the United States the Spartan treatment, but the idea is already getting a few positive responses. Some fans believe that the film might actually work in a similar way as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter or Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

The George Washington/300 movie might take some time before it begins production. However, Snyder's genius will be seen this month in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which hits theaters on March 25.
