Henry Cavill is Already Working Out for 'Justice League'! DCEU Superman Confirmed Not Dead?

It's hard to keep a good (super) man down. Ben Affleck certainly had some difficulty defeating the Man of Steel in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it turns out that the only thing that could actually kill Kal-El was Lex Luthor's Doomsday, the monster he created using Zod's corpse. But is Superman really dead? It certainly doesn't look like he is, because Henry Cavill is currently working on his superhero physique in preparation for the Justice League movies!

Cavill recently posted a photo on his official Instagram account revealing that he has just completed one week of "training" to prepare for his role in Justice League. The actor shared that his regimen included "7 days, 9 workouts and a whole lot of food!" In addition to that, Cavill included the hashtags #Superman, #JusticeLeague and #SupermanTraining.

There is certainly no Game of Thrones-style secrecy here, where cast members insist that Kit Harington's Jon Snow is dead. Cavill isn't shying away from revealing that Superman will return in the Justice League films, and that he is working hard to make sure Kal-El is in his best form. This isn't the first time that Cavill's return as Superman has been confirmed on social media. Ray Fisher, who appeared briefly in Batman v Superman as Victor Stone/Cyborg, has also shared an Instagram photo featuring Cavill and Jason Momoa, who will play Aquaman in the two-part Justice League movies.

But how will Justice League explain the return of Superman despite being "killed" by Doomsday in BvS? There is a possibility that the Man of Steel's death was actually faked so he can continue saving people in secrecy. In addition to that, he might also help Bruce Wayne and Gal Gadot's Diana Prince/Wonder Woman seek out the other members of the Justice League.

The first Justice League flick is directed by Zack Snyder and is scheduled for release on November 17, 2017.
