It certainly took a long time for the first official Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer to be revealed and some fans decided that they should film their reactions to the highly anticipated standalone film. Now the folks at Industrial Lights and Magic thought it would be fun to do the same thing, except they recorded themselves watching fan reaction videos to Felicity Jones' Star Wars film trailer!

The video, titled A Chain Reaction, opens with the Star Wars special effects team introducing themselves and stating that they are the ones who created the Rogue One trailer. It is then revealed that they will be watching how fans reacted to all their hard work.

There are several hilarious moments, including a guy commenting that he would rebel too if he had a chance with Mon Mothma, whose appearance was mostly received with complete awe from the fans. Most fans reacted positively to Jones' introduction as Jyn Erso as well as a brief shot of the iconic shot of the Death Star. The glimpses at the new Stormtroopers and AT-ATs also elicited excitement from the viewers of the trailer.

It wasn't all laughter, as some fans were moved to tears. Over all, the ILM team was proud of what they had accomplished with the first official trailer of Rogue One.

The film expands on the story of a group of rebels who set out to steal the Death Star plans in 1977's Star Wars. Rogue One will be set between the events in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and also stars Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forrest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen and Riz Ahmed. The film will premiere on December 16.
