The New "Friday the 13th" Reboot: Still happening as promised!

The much awaited reboot for "Friday the 13th" film has certainly been postponed for quite some time now. But confirmations of its production is still affirmative!

The film producers for the Friday the 13th movie Brad Fuller and Andrew Form confirms that it is still happening. According to Slashfilm, the movie was said to be released back in 2015 but was then moved to 2016. However the "final" release date of the film (or at least hoped to be the final release date) is said to be on October 13 of 2017. The director for the film is reported to be Breck Eisner who also directed movies like "The last Witch Hunter"  and "The Crazies", while Aaron Guzikowski will be on script writing.

As reported in an article in Gizmodo, film producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form from Platinum Dunes Production revealed that the film will be extreme, Fuller's words being "It's unrelenting!" The two producers also confirmed the following information about the upcoming movie in an interview.

In the interview Brad Fuller and Andrew Form said what the film "WON'T" be:

- It is not going to be a sequel to the 2009 Friday the 13th reboot.
- It won't be a "found-footage" type of movie.
- It is not going to be a 3D film.
- The film is not going to be titled "Bride of Jason" , the official title is yet to be confirmed.

However, the movie details that "IS" confirmed to happen are:

- It will be a "period piece".
- The film will be R-rated.
- The film location will be in a camp in Georgia with a nearby lake (for an old school classic setting).
- And the fact that this movie is "Definitely" still a go.

As reported, the casting for the Friday the 13th film will begin this December, while the film will begin shooting in the spring season. The movie is expected to please the fans of this horror movie franchise but will still be good for thosewho have yet to meet the character of "Jason" and have yet to watch a Friday the 13th film.
