“Steven Universe” S4 Updates: Steven with New Powers & to Become a Full Crystal Gem?

Fresh from a long hiatus, "Steven Universe" returns with season 4 this November with 'Gem Harvest.' Fans have been waiting for this next episode and rumors say that this won't just be the show's Thanksgiving episode but this could be the episode when Steven gets a new power. 'Gem Harvest' will air on November 17 on Cartoon Network.

According to a report from The Christian Times, the continuation of "Steven Universe" season 4 is episode 8 'Gem Harvest.' This episode will feature a heartwarming scene where Steven, Peridot and Lapis try to give gem-like characteristics to vegetables. In an exclusive teaser trailer, the three were able to give life to a pumpkin. The pumpkin comes to life and becomes afraid with Steven and so it runs towards the two gems for safety.

It has also been a while since Steven has discovered anything new about his powers and this sparked rumors that this episode could also be when he acquires new powers.  Rebecca Sugar has not officially confirmed this but fans are already thinking that if Steven ever gets new powers, it could come with a huge price. Steven could find a way to become a completely true crystal gem to help him fight Yellow and Blue Diamond which are rumored to return soon. These new powers could come from fusing with other gems too.

In a report published by GAMENGUIDE last month, it hinted fusion of a Steven, a young version of his dad and Peridot. No one knows what gem could be produced from this unique fusion and fans would have to stay tuned to find out if this would really happen in the next episodes.

"Steven Universe" season 4 episode 8 'Gem Harvest' will air on November 17, Thursday featuring a Thanksgiving episode by Steven, Greg and the crystal gems while episode 9 'Three Gems and a Baby' will air on December 1 with a story featuring Greg and the gems.
