To stay ahead of the game and to keep the ball in the court, the speculations are that Apple Inc has a secret weapon according to which Apple will be deploying drones to capture data for its Maps in a bid to pace Google Maps.

Google Maps have become a standard for commuting or searching for a new place to hang out a little and the determination of Google to roll out new features every other day has pushed the expectations exponentially. Citing the latest feature by Google Maps, the user's location data is reportedly being stored by Google and it is shown on the timeline so that others can view it has alerted a suspected privacy concern among users, a video by Fortune was uploaded citing the privacy concern.

On the other hand, Apple is trying to  tackle privacy concerned unlike Google Maps and is currently in talks with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to deploy drones to capture real-time data such as traffic changes, traffic signs, etc. As per the reports of Bloomberg, the drones will also capture videos, photos, and other data.

The reports further state that the drones will be deployed for capturing  data after which it will be transferred to the Apple's dedicated team and then it will be uploaded to Apple Maps servers in turn reaching the iOS and MacOS users. If all goes well, drones will replace minivans that are currently collecting data for Apple Maps.

The replacement of Google Maps by Apple Maps occurred in 2012 on iOS and MacOS devices, however, due to poor driving directions and  inaccurate data which triggered much criticism against Apple Maps. In a bid to camouflage the epiphany, Tim Cook - CEO of Apple apologized and since then, Apple is working to get accurate data for Apple Maps to keep its users intact.

Even after improvement, Apple Maps are considered as an inferior alternative to Google Maps that offers Street View, Building View, and other mind-blowing. To tackle the inferiority complex, Apple Maps will soon employee drones to help collect pinpoint accurate data including photos, videos, transit information, etc that will help Apple Maps gain back its words once again, Fortune, quoted.

Apple is still gathering the team that will be looking after drones and Apple Maps which means it is currently in the early stage of development, as per the reports. Read along, Apple Inc. is going to celebrate the iPhone 10th Anniversary next year with the all-new iPhone 8 OLED Display. Meanwhile, Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus are generating much acclaim for Apple. Also, check the new iPad Pro and the upcoming iPad Mini 5 that will be launched in March 2017.
