When the new Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro was announced at CES 2017, it see,s to prove that the chromebook are just getting bigger. Notably back in 2011, Samsung produced the first Chromebooks that provoked other major PC manufacturer to jump into the same bandwagon.

Currently, Samsung is putting its finishing touches to introduce a Chromebook with Google Play as its main feature. This created a harmony between Android apps to Chrome OS as Samsung's Plus and Pro are the first to release with Google Play from the start, according to Digital Trends.

Chromebook Pro has received well favorable reviews and here are the reasons why.

Samsung made a smart move by not introducing its Chromebooks as a direct Microsoft Surface competitor. Samsung emphasized this by stating that they are "targeting the Chrome OS lover, who loves ease and simplicity," but also admitted the new models are ideal for students and mobile professionals, not least of all because they include an active digitizer stylus, as reported by FXNCC.

That stylus, shown in demo photos, will be called on to do the same tasks users ask of their Windows 2-in-1s. The pen can help the user how they work, from classrooms, to the meeting room.

Valued at $450, the Chromebook Plus has an ARM chip of Samsung's design, while the price for the Intel-powered Pro version has not yet been announced. While Samsung directly admits that the Plus version will expectedly lag the Pro in multi-tasking and certain demanding workloads, the weaker version may end up being the system to get, according to iTech Post.

To simply conclude it, the Plus and Pro run the same apps, feature the same 2,400 x 1,600 display. They also have the same ports, same battery, same keyboard, same touchpad, and same stylus. Yes, the Pro can do anything better. But for someone looking for a laptop that can do everything cheaper, get the Plus version.
