Pokemon Sun and Moon is the newest Pokémon game of Nintendo. It features Gen VII Pokémon and the new Alola region. The players are happy so far, with the game gathering 9/10 ratings in IGN and also a 9/10 ratings in Trusted Reviews.

The game is has caught the headlines recently with a rather sad and also amusing news that players try, and repeatedly fail to finish goals in the global missions. And as if to ease the frustration and increase the motivation of the players, Pokémon Sun and Moon version 1.1 official patch is now available and with it comes a surprise Gen III Pokémon gift available to be claimed.

According to Serebii, the latest patch will bring the game into version 1.1 and is 296 blocks to download. With the latest patch come bug fixes for some glitches in Z-Moves, including Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento in Battle Spot. The glitch when the opponent is knocked out by a fainted Pokémon wearing a Rocky helmet is also fixed. The glitch that causes some Pokémon to not be able to learn evolution moves (such as Kadabra and its "Confusion") is also fixed.

You can have the free updates by their QR codes. Here are the steps to download the updates according to GameranxFirst, Tap L and R buttons at the same time or tap the Camera icon of the 3DS to open the 3DS Camera. And then tap the QR Code icon to open the QR Scanner Mode. Align the QR Codes properly with the square so the Scanner identifies the QR code and will start scanning. Lastly, the 3DS will ask you if you like to Launch the Nintendo eShop, and you would choose yes.

After getting the updates you will get Pokedex Entries for Grumpig, a purple pig Pokémon if you're using Pokémon Sun. You will get a Clamperl if you are using Pokemon Moon.

To get the in-game Pokémon, load your game save file. Open the Rotom Pokedex and then select QR Scanner to activate Camera. Hold the R button and align the camera to the QR Code. After scanning, just stop to a Pokecenter to pick your new Pokemon.
