"Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy VII Remake" were expected by thousands of fans to be available on the store shelves this year or even sooner. However there is bad news to all fans, Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed that neither of the two games is even close to being finished.

Many reports have surfaced suggesting a sooner launch and release date for the long-awaited remake of "Final Fantasy VII" and "Kingdom Hearts II." Nomura, who is responsible for both "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and "Kingdom Hearts 3," dropped the unfortunate truth that the games are nowhere near of completion by this month or anytime soon, according to Japanese magazine Famitsu (via Gematsu).

Meanwhile, Nomura tried to comfort the fans by apologizing for prolonging the agony for the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Final Fantasy VII Remake". He further defended that the team is doing a steady progress on production of "Final Fantasy VII Remake". On contrary, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is being left behind for completion, according to Video Games Republic.

On the other side, fans just hope that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not be a failure a dismay like "Final Fantasy Versus XII," which was announced back in 2006 for PS3. "Final Fantasy XV" was finally released just last year and received praises and great reviews.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" had undergone different spinoffs and titles before Square Enix finally announced its finalization at e3 2013.Its predecessor, "Kingdom Hearts 2", was the last game in the series designed from square one for a console and was released in 2006.

The delay may have caused by the reported new upgrade on the RPG game. "Kingdom of Hearts 3" will have a new battle system called the Situation Commands. Nomura allegedly revealed that players would have access to more several options and that the fun part of the gameplay focuses on executing Shotlocks. He also warned that the Situation Command is available on a limited time basis only.

As previously reported, the good news is that "Kingdom Hearts 2.8," a compilation of games, is slated to release for PS4 on Jan. 24. Playing "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" may temporarily comfort the delay of "Kingdom Hearts 3" unknown release.
