Grey's Anatomy Star Katherine Heigl Welcomes Son With Husband Josh Kelley

Doubt star Katherine Heigl is enjoying third round of parenthood with her husband of nine years Josh Kelley. The cute couple welcomed their third child, a boy on December 20.

The baby boy who has been named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. joins the family of four, including older sisters Naleigh,8, and Adalaide,4, People reports. This is the couple's first born child as their eldest one was adopted from South Korea in 2009 and the middle one was adopted domestically in 2012.

The actress' pregnancy news came out in June last year when her better half Kelley took to instagram to share his excitement about the new family member. He had shared how he couldn't wait to hold his little nugget, reported E! News.

Heigl took to her blog 'Those Heavenly days' to share the big news with her fans. She explained how her pregnancy was totally unexpected and new to her but it was thrilling too. The actress even shared how she wasn't sure whether she would ever get pregnant because of her advanced maternal age but God had different plans for the couple.

Since then, the former Grey's Anatomy actress has been giving her fans a glimpse into her pregnancy journey on 'Those Heavenly Days'. Heigl has listed all her pregnancy favorites along with some tips and tricks on her blog. She even shared some great tricks to deal with pregnancy indigestion and a few apps that she found useful.

The couple prepared for their son's arrival with a Christmas and nature-themed baby shower thrown by Heigl's mom Nancy in early December. Heigl shared on her blog that the month of December is a month full of joy and gratitude for the family as Christmas holidays are a pretty big deal and from now they will be celebrating their son's birthday around Christmas. Another reason for the December festivities is that the couple celebrates its wedding anniversary on December 23.
