Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 is still unconfirmed from the company. Several news outlets online have reported that the anticipated device will be released this year.

It can be recalled that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has mentioned once that they are coming up with a unique phone, which will be different from that of the competitors. And since Microsoft has already presented some hybrid devices, it is not surprising that the Surface Phone will also be used like a tablet.

A recent Microsoft patent which was shared by MSPoweruser showed that the handset will be having foldable features so that it can be a two-in-one device. The phone is also said to have a 5.5-inch display, but when used as a tablet, the screen can transform to 7.9 inches.

The said patent was reportedly approved by the United States Patent and Trademark on Jan. 10, that was submitted by a person named Kabir Siddiqui on behalf of Microsoft. A tech analyst claims that the patent may most likely be released since Siddiqui has proven his trustworthiness, having to author several Surface-based products that were launched in the market.

Surface Phone 2017 will have powerful features such as an Adreno 430 graphics card with an octa-core processor under the hood. Device might also be installed with Qualcomm 835 Snapdragon system on chip (SoC), a 64-bit Windows 10. The processor of the phone is speculated to have an 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage

As Surface Phone being the most ambitious smartphone Microsoft that will unveil in the market, there are also some risks that the company will have to face to increase its chances to make it to the top. According to The Inquisitr , if rumors are proven true, then the Microsoft variant could be a mobile device consumers have never seen before.

Meanwhile, iTech Post reports that Microsoft is still uncertain of when will the smartphone be release. The company is still not ready to unveil the device or the handheld does not exist. However, Microsoft has confirmed that they are not steping down from the smartphone industry and their flagship dubbed as Surface Phone will be released this 2017.
