The "Godzilla 2" plot is still under wraps, but one thing's for sure. "Stranger Things" actress Millie Brown will be part of it. The 12-year-old actress is reportedly very happy and excited for her role in the monster sequel, which will be out in 2019.

The rest of "Godzilla 2" cast is yet to be decided

Millie Brown gained popularity when she played Eleven, a girl with mysterious powers, on the hit Netflix sci-fi series, "Stranger Things". Now, Brown is set to play a part in "Godzilla 2" or "Godzilla: King of Monster", the sequel to the 2014 monster movie.

Brown told Entertainment Tonight that she talked with the sequel's director, Michael Doherty, and felt a "really incredible connection" with him. It would be her first movie and she was excited to start filming it. Asked about her "Stranger Things" role and success, Brown humbly said that it was incredible. "I'm just boring old Millie and they like me somehow!" she said.

According to Movieweb, Brown is the first cast member to be announced for the film, although her character hasn't been revealed yet. She isn't the only one excited for the sequel, though. The 2014 "Godzilla" was produced on a $160 million budge. It garnered $200 million in domestic sales and $529 million in international ticket sales. It was inevitable that there would be a sequel. This time, it's going to tie in to other films.

"Godzilla 2" will pave the way for Monsterverse mega-battle

"Godzilla 2" is slated for 2019, a year before "Godzilla vs King Kong" will be released in 2020. Meanwhile, "Kong: Skull Island" will be released in theaters this March 20, 2017. The two monster movies will be part of the Monsterverse, which will showcase other strange oversized creatures who will battle for dominion.

Legendary Entertainment announced during Comic-Con 2014 that "Godzilla 2" will feature other monsters like Rohan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah from Toho Corporation. Filming has yet to start and there's still no news about a tangible plot. But with the casting of Brown, production will probably begin soon.
