'Steven Universe' Premieres Today! Upcoming Episodes Announced, Show Ending After S5?

"Steven Universe" is set to grace the small screens again for an entire week. In fact, the next episode is airing tonight, titled "Steven's Dream."

There is no doubt that the American animated TV series by Rebecca Sugar is one of the favorites in Cartoon Network. As how A.V. Club puts it, viewers don't mind if the network stops putting the animated series on break. That's how they love Steven.

It is a great treat to fans to see "Steven Universe" with full week episodes. The hype of the new season is already in and everyone who is a fan is feeling it.

Collider reported that "Steven Universe" has a new timeslot beginning Jan. 30. Viewers can now watch it at 7 p.m ET/PT. ComicBook added that the new season kicks off with two-part airing and new episodes will air until Thursday. However, after this, "Steven Universe" will return to its weekly schedule on Friday, Feb. 10.

"Steven Universe" fans can look forward to watching five episodes this week. Two episodes will air tonight, "Steven's Dream" and "Adventures in Light Distortion." Cartoon Network released a short synopsis of how the new season will start. "A strange dream prompts Steven to search for answers," the Mary Sue reported. Steven and the Gems will be on a search-and-recovery mission in the premiere episodes.

On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the third episode, "Gem Heist" will air featuring the Gems trying to pull off a robbery. On Wednesday, Feb. 1, Steven will be visiting a very special zoo in the episode titled, "The Zoo." Lastly, on Thursday, Feb. 2, Steven and the Gems will be taking a dangerous escape in "That Will Be All" episode.

Reports have it that upcoming episodes will be quite huge as it reveals more about Steven and Crystal Gems. A new chapter will be unveiled from one episode to another.

Meanwhile, "Steven Universe" has been renewed for the fifth season and although it is still far away, fans are wondering if it would be the last. In an interview with Newsarama, series creator Rebecca Sugar addresses if she is seeing an endgame soon of if there is still plenty of time for her masterpiece.

"I have big plans for that season! Endgame or not I'm shooting for the moon, I'm going to write us into a serious corner!" Sugar said. Looks like the show will still be running for more years.
